Psychedelic Prep & Integration Protocols
A grounded, structured approach to psychedelic preparation and integration through East Asian Medicine.
A psychedelic experience can open profound territory. But knowing how to prepare your body and mind and to make sense of what emerges afterward can feel uncertain.
Our Acupuncture supported Psychedelic Prep & Integration Protocols demystify the preparation and integration process, giving you a clear path before and after your journey.
Why East Asian Medicine?
Psychedelic experiences can be deeply psychological, physical, energetic, and spiritual.
East Asian Medicine has a long-standing framework for understanding these dimensions as interconnected rather than separate.
Acupuncture can support autonomic regulation and create a more grounded physical container for the experience. Following the journey, somatic work can help anchor expansive or difficult-to-integrate experiences back into the body.
The intention is not simply to understand what happened.
It's to help you embody it.
A Psychedelic experience Is More Than the Journey
The psychedelic experience itself is only part of the process.
East Asian Medicine offers a holistic framework for working with the body, nervous system, mind, and spirit throughout the journey - from preparing the physical vessel to grounding and integrating what you've experienced.
The approach follows three phases.
-
Create a grounded foundation for the journey.
Our 2-week Preparation Protocol uses a combination of acupuncture, Qigong, breathwork and Chinese Herbal Medicine to support nervous-system regulation, establish a physiological baseline, and prepare the body for the experience.
-
Enter the experience with greater preparation and intention.
Your psychedelic journey takes place with your facilitator or healing center. When appropriate, preparation can be coordinated directly with your facilitator, including an acupuncture session immediately before the journey.
Preparation can also be completed earlier—including the day before—when coordination isn't practical.
The role of Chinese Medicine is preparation and integration, not psychedelic administration.
-
Bring the experience back into the body and into everyday life.
The 8-session Integration Protocol provides a structured path for grounding, processing, and embodying what emerges from your journey.
Acupuncture and somatic practices can help turn expansive insights into lived, embodied change.
why i do this work
My relationship with healing deepened during my time after the military, as I began exploring what it meant to truly care for my body, mind, and spirit - not simply to return to a normal baseline pre-service, but to grow far beyond it.
Along that path, two tools became especially meaningful to me: East Asian Medicine and intentional psychedelic work.
I've experienced the power of both firsthand, and I've witnessed it in people I love and respect. Psychedelics have helped create openings that I don't believe could have been reached in the same way through willpower or intellectual understanding alone.
East Asian Medicine has given me a way to work with the body—to ground, regulate, and embody that growth.
Over time, I began to see how naturally these two approaches can complement one another.
The psychedelic experience can open something profound. East Asian Medicine can help prepare the body to meet that experience and provide a pathway for bringing what emerges back into everyday life.
That realization is what led me to develop a structured approach to psychedelic preparation and integration.
My intention is to demystify the process, create a grounded container for the work, and help people make the most of what these experiences can offer.
Psychedelic Preparation & Integration, Demystified
You don't have to figure out what to do before or after a psychedelic experience on your own.
A structured protocol creates a container around the journey helping you understand where you are, prepare intentionally, and have a path for what comes next.
The goal is become more prepared to meet what your experience will be and more supported in integrating what it reveals.
For Individuals
Whether this is your first psychedelic experience or you've been on this path before, the Preparation Protocol offers a grounded way to approach the experience.
You'll have a clear process for preparing your body and nervous system, establishing intention, and creating a foundation for the journey ahead.
For Facilitators & Healing Centers
Give your clients a deeper level of preparation and integration.
The tools of East Asian Medicine complement the work you're already doing by providing clients with structured support before and after their psychedelic experience.

The role of East Asian Medicine is preparation and integration, not psychedelic administration.
